About My Family

Amy, my best friend and wife since November 29, 2006, and I are incredibly grateful for our four amazing kids—Kyle, Jordan, Elijah, and Katelyne. Our journey together has been an adventure! Since 2014, we’ve traveled to 30 states and 20 countries, helping with church planting and serving as chaplains. Our hearts found our home in Idaho Falls. We’re happy to be part of this wonderful community and our loving church family.

I completed my Master of Arts in Religion in Community Chaplaincy and a graduate certificate in biblical studies at Liberty University, both of which have been invaluable in my ministry.

When we’re not serving, you’ll find us enjoying the beautiful Idaho outdoors or at the range, a pastime I picked up during my time as a Marine Staff Sergeant. Most importantly, we are making memories together as a family.

About My Ministry

Sent out by First Baptist Church of Florence, I’m so grateful to call Idaho Falls home and to serve here as a missionary pastor and SBC-endorsed chaplain. For me, that calling is all about showing up for people in the moments that matter most, whether that’s walking alongside patients and families through Mission Healthcare as a hospice chaplain, or helping to build The Beacon Church, a NAMB church plant in Boise, where I serve as a pastor and board member.

At the end of the day, my biggest heart for this region is simply to see local churches lock arms. I love building bridges between different congregations because I truly believe we can love and serve our community so much better when we do it together.

SBC Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, healthcare settings, correctional facilities, public safety, disaster relief sites, and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard-to-reach places.

The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by their institution and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.

Pray

Pray for boldness and open hearts. Pray that God will give me the courage to share the gospel naturally, and that He will soften the hearts of the people I connect with every day. Pray that lives in Idaho Falls will be transformed, truly encounter Jesus, and find saving faith in Him. Pray that God will bring more laborers. The need here is great! Please pray that God will raise up more missionaries and chaplains to serve this city. Pray for financial provision. Please pray that God will provide the financial support and partnerships we need to sustain and grow this work.
