About My Family

I love God’s creation: diverse people, cultures, languages, places, foods, plants, animals, etc. I was blessed to enjoy this amazing world of diversity for 10.5 years as wife of the late missionary to Papua New Guinea (PNG), Dave Wilkinson, until his home-going in 1993. I continued in local church and missions ministry for 28.5 years, including eight more years in PNG and 12 years in Hispanic ministries in the USA.

Since 09/10/2021, I’ve been enjoying life alongside my new husband, Timothy Holmgren, also a veteran missionary from PNG, who currently works in administration with Ethnos360 (formerly New Tribes Mission) and volunteers in the local NAMB church plant where I serve.

My three sons, Tim’s two sons and four daughters, plus those with spouses and children make us a clan of 27 (so far!), representing five states and Central Asia.

About My Ministry

Restoration Church of Sanford, launched in January 2022 with the goal: “RESTORE all people from all walks of life back to God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.” We aim to reach the overlooked in society—the homeless, addicts, poor, non-English speakers, etc.

I relocated to this ministry in Sanford after I married Tim. Together, we help evangelize, disciple and counsel. I especially focus on reaching the Hispanics. So far, we help set up and tear down at our meeting place, which is a local elementary school, and reach out to those who attend. I help interpret the Sunday message for non-bilingual Spanish-speakers.

With additional prayer and financial partners, I will be free to commit even more of my weekly hours into restoring the lost in Sanford back to God.

Pray

New prayer and financial partners. Wisdom as we love our blended family of nine children (seven married) and nine grandchildren, including an 18-year-old son living at home. Thursday evening evangelism outreach. Follow-up on Sunday morning visitors. New men’s discipleship house for recovering addicts. Wisdom for engaging with the homeless and poor in our community. “Ears” tuned to hear the various Spanish accents and skills to interpret. Love, unity and great synergy on the church-planting team. Multicultural residents of Sanford who need the gospel and a doctrinally sound church. Hispanic families I left behind in the Imlay City area of Michigan who still need the Lord and a church.

Participate

Partner in prayer. Partner financially. Offer hospitality if we are traveling in your area. Invite me/us to speak about missions at church missions events or in your home. Help buy Spanish Bibles or discipleship materials. Visit to assist with special outreach events. Offer your expertise to help me (us) serve with greater excellence.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
