About My Family

I am a retired air traffic controller. I was 24 years old when I trusted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Ten years later the Holy Spirit began leading me to ministry.

I have been married since 1987. My wife and I have three children and three grandchildren. We are members of Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, Tenn.

About My Ministry

I am an SBC-endorsed disaster relief chaplain with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. In 1998, I began looking for ways to be involved in ministry. I have served in juvenile corrections, inner-city, homeless and assisted living ministries.

In 2002, I took my first international mission trip. In 2006, I became involved in Disaster Relief (DR). DR is the greatest missions opportunity in North America. I became a DR chaplain in 2016, and I continue to travel to unreached people groups in Central Asia.

SBC Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites, and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard-to-reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by their institution and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.

Pray

Pray for boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the people to whom I speak. Pray that through this ministry, more people would come to a saving faith and live on mission. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.
