About My Family

I grew up in Little Rock, Ark., and spent several years in my early 20s touring the U.S. in a rock band before starting a 15-year career in business. I moved around a lot through my careers in business and music. I was never just passing through these amazing and diverse cities; they were the training ground where I first began to flesh out unity and reconciliation among different ethnicities and classes.

I married my beautiful wife, Rhonda, in 2006. In 2012, we moved to Baltimore. Since then, God has added three adorable children to our family.

I love reading, studying and teaching the Bible. Additionally, I have a passion for creation care, photography, music, cycling, hiking/camping and exploring the small, unique parts of this beautiful city.

About My Church Plant

I have a passion for the church to be belly-to-belly, toe-to-toe in the city through personal relationships and partnerships with organizations who are seeking the good and development of our city. I am also passionate about teaching the church to live out a life that brings growth and flourishing to those around it by being faithful in living out the amazing life Jesus models for us.

I knew I would be planting churches at some point in my life, but in 2003 God had called me to live on mission in the workforce. In 2013, when the Ravens won the Super Bowl, and Rhonda and I heard the city shake with joy and praise, we knew God wanted to be known and glorified with that same passion.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

Our church launched September 8, 2019. Please pray that we see new disciples of Jesus from our neighbors, coworkers and community. Pray for churches as they prepare to send out church plants and missionaries to push back lostness in North America. Pray for receptive hearts among the people in communities where we serve. Pray for churches and individuals to partner with us and to give of their time and talents. Pray for the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join us.

Participate

Connect with us as a Sending Church or a Supporting Church through sending missions teams to Baltimore. Commit to long-term missions support with us. Be involved in supporting church planters, missionaries and their families. Pray for church planters and missionaries.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit sendnetwork.com/PlanterFunding for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
