About My Family
My wife, Cindy, and I have been married for 14 years. We are having the time of our life raising our three crazy fun boys—Bobby, Tyler and Jaydon. I am a former high-school teacher and basketball and soccer coach. We love to play sports, go on bike rides and hang out with Cindy’s grandma.
About My Church Plant
We recently changed the name of our church to reflect our new location and community. We are planning to re-launch the church later this year. We have an incredible location right on Main Street. We currently average about 35 people on Sunday morning and would like to launch with 120 people this fall. We have a passion to reach people with the gospel, gather for God’s honor and glory and grow strong, reproducing disciples of Christ. We desire to have a church that first supports and partners with planters in Detroit and then funds and supports our own planters. We currently have an outreach ministry to a local Boy Scout troop who meets in our building. My oldest son is a member, and I am the troop chaplain.
NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity.
