About My Family

There was a time in my life when I was full of sin and darkness and feared death. But when I met Jesus, who is the living God, He set me free from my sins and my dark mind, which renewed my heart. Amazingly, I became a new person, and Jesus Christ became the King of my life. Since then, I have peace and joy in Him.

After realizing the truth of the gospel, I died to sin. I died to Jonathan Kim, to the praises and criticisms of the world and to my friends, and I live for God in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:1; Corinthians 3:21-4:7).

My wife, who is a columnist, is a precious woman for she always walks with the Lord and prays to God steadily. My daughter is studying experimental psychology and politics at Redeemer University. We have been having a deep fellowship time every Saturday since 2006. It is a powerful time that nobody can interrupt.

About My Church Plant

I feel a greater hunger than before to reach the lost souls around universities and colleges. My vision from God is to multiply churches on every single campus in Ontario. The church will serve the lost of every department in every school with the explosive gospel through love.

How can this be done? I will fully engage myself in discovering, developing and deploying persons of peace whom God has prepared. Also, we will allocate 51% of the budget from tithes and offerings toward planting churches on all campuses within Ontario’s 22 public universities and 24 public colleges.

Why 51%? The goal of a church is to evangelize and to multiply. This will not only impact students but over time be instrumental in radically shaping our families, communities, cities, nations and eventually the entire world (Genesis 12:3; Acts 3:25).

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for my family as we work together in ministry. Pray the church will be established and will faithfully work to plant in other communities, too. Pray the Lord will bring leaders who can help within the church. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.

Participate

Build relationships with a church planter, team members and their families.
