About My Family
I am an ordained pastor. My wife, Yeong (Amy) Lee, and I got married in 1999. We have two sons. Our oldest is Joseph, a senior at the University of Illinois, and the younger is Benjamin, a senior in high school.
About My Church Plant
Savoy Cornerstone Korean Church is located in the area of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. The percentage of ethnic Koreans who come to study here is overwhelmingly higher than the percentage of Koreans who study in other universities, as it is known in Korea to be a prestigious school. Many talented people come here to study and then return to Korea to become leaders in their respective positions, from ministers of the Korean government to leadership positions in large companies such as Samsung.
Our mission is to approach these students with the gospel and send them back to Korea as disciples of Christ. I also pray that we will be a church who embraces many second-generation students and Korean residents who are tired of the culture and language barriers that exist while living in the U.S.
