About My Family

I am an ordained pastor. My wife, Yeong (Amy) Lee, and I got married in 1999. We have two sons. Our oldest is Joseph, who graduated from the University of Illinois, and the younger is Benjamin, a student at the University of Illinois.

About My Church Plant

Savoy Cornerstone Korean Church is located in the area of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. The percentage of ethnic Koreans, who come to study here is overwhelmingly higher than the percentage of Koreans who study in other universities, as it is known in Korea to be a prestigious school. Many talented people come here to study and then return to Korea to become leaders in their respective positions, from ministers of the Korean government to leadership positions in large companies such as Samsung.

Our mission is to approach these students with the gospel and send them back to Korea as disciples of Christ. I also pray that we will be a church who embraces many second-generation students and Korean residents who are tired of the culture and language barriers that exist while living in the U.S.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for the planter’s family as they work together in ministry. Pray the church will be established and will faithfully work to plant in other communities, too. Pray the Lord would orchestrate encounters with unbelievers, transforming them into disciples and raising them as leaders in the church. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.
