About My Family
I arrived in Vancouver, British Columbia, on June 29, 2016, with my wife and four kids. God proved faithful and provided for our needs in this new target area. I believe in witnessing as a way of life and apply biblical truths in real life situations. I am skilled at motivating others to win people for Christ. As a couple, we have decades of ministry experience in one-on-one evangelism, teaching discipleship groups, developing other leaders and ministry administration. We are excited and moved with whole hearts in Surrey, British Columbia, to win, build and send Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu speaking South Asians for Christ. My entire family helps serve the church. The kids are involved in youth ministry, and my wife speaks with the women of the church.
About My Church Plant
God called me to plant a Punjabi church for the significant population of Punjabi-speaking people living in the Vancouver area. Prayerfully we moved to Surrey and began to meet every Sunday morning as South Asian Community Church in Delta at Royal Heights Baptist Church on September 04, 2016. Praise God that around 35 people are attending the Sunday services and five people were baptized in August 2017. God is good and doing amazing things in the lives of the church members. Most of them are Punjabi-speaking people from a Sikh background. We are helping people grow in their new faith by conducting home Bible studies and providing Christian fellowship. We meet for Bible study every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Our youth meet every Friday evening for fun and fellowship.
NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity.
