About My Family

Originally meeting in college, somewhere around 2004–2005, Monica and Shaun were friends for nearly five years before they began dating. Just more than a year later, May 28, 2011, they got married. Now they have two kids whom they adore and who keep things very lively. Cadence Mae, their daughter and their oldest, was born October 17, 2013. Ransom, their son and their youngest, was born Sept 26, 2015.

About My Ministry

Vermont is known for its beautiful green mountains, Ben and Jerry's ice cream, fall colors and being one of the least religious states. Many people would find the prospect of working with college students around Burlington, Vt., a challenging one, but we find it to be a grand opportunity. God is working in the area, the students, despite being largely unchurched, have a spiritual curiosity that needs to be met. This is where God wants us to be.

Our heart is to see the gospel preached to students by students in Vermont and for them to grow in relationship with God through the local church. Our passion is one-on-one discipleship, talks over coffee, having students over for dinner and seeing new believers get baptized. We are humbled by and grateful for our ministry partners who invest in our lives and this ministry.

This contribution is made with the understanding that The North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Inc. has complete control and administration over the use of the donated funds, and gifts received above the specific need will be used in similar areas where the need is greatest.

–That students on Vermont college campuses would hear and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ.
–That God would continue to provide both financial and human resources (more missionaries) for the work still to be done here in this state.
–That students who graduate from this ministry would consider entering the mission field, even staying in Vermont to continue the work.

Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
