About My Family
God has blessed me with the most patient and caring wife and two daughters who fill my life with joy. We love visiting with our neighbors, stories and songs at bedtime and growing together through the adventures and challenges the LORD gives us.
About My Ministry
I am an SBC-endorsed brigade chaplain in the Texas Army National Guard, which affords me the opportunity to provide confidential counseling to Soldiers and families struggling with a host of issues from preparing for deployment to suicidal ideations. I am also blessed to teach God’s Word through services at the armory and out in the field. I am also serving as a full-time support chaplain, providing support to casualty notification teams and to chaplain recruiters.
SBC Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites, and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard-to-reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by their institution and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.
