About My Family
My wife, Janie, and I have been married for 26 years. We have two daughters and one grandson. Janie recently received a kidney transplant with me as the donor. We were a perfect match!
About My Ministry
I’m an SBC-endorsed healthcare chaplain at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. The Lord has called me to be the manager of Pastoral Care. I see patients in all areas of the hospital and provide pastoral care to patients, families and hospital staff. Additionally, I supervise all pastoral care personnel, including chaplains and volunteers.
SBC Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard to reach places.

These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.
