About My Family

My wife, Christine, and I first met at a Bible study when I was a new Christian out of atheism. Three years later in 2008, we married. In 2015, the Lord blessed us with a family through fostering and adoption. Our son, Jeremiah, was almost 3-years-old when he came to live with us. Six months later, we received a surprise phone call that Jeremiah had a newborn sister waiting at the hospital. We picked up Ada from the hospital when she was almost 2 weeks old, and we've been a family ever since.

Most of my walk with Christ has been with a church who was passionate about church planting. Ever since becoming an elder and starting seminary, planting has been in our prayers. In 2016, I left my high-school English teacher position of 16 years to pursue the calling to build Christ's kingdom in our home-state of New Jersey (Matt. 9:36-38).

About My Church Plant

Since leaving full-time teaching, I have completed seminary (MDiv SBTS), become a chaplain and chapter director at Rutgers University for the apologetics-based ministry, Ratio Christi, and started teaching the Bible part-time to high-school seniors. At the same time, I've been training with NAMB/SEND Network to be a church planter.

My prayer is to build a network of small churches throughout New Jersey that share resources and operate as an extended family, working together as siblings in Christ for the kingdom of God. These churches will be built on three core biblical values: Community (Acts 2:42-47), Confidence (1 Pet. 3:15-16), and Coaching (Matt 28:18-20; Eph 4:11-16). Working with our core plant team and our Sending Church family, we have begun to lay the foundation in Edison/Metuchen, N.J.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
