About My Family

The Lord saved me during my senior year of high school, and soon I began to sense a desire and calling for vocational ministry.

Sara and I were married just after college and soon moved to Kansas City to pursue ministry training at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The Lord has now given us the opportunity to serve Kansas City long term, and we are so glad to call this city home!

Sara and I welcomed our daughter, Cora Joy, in June of 2020.

About My Church Plant

I am currently a bivocational church planter here in Kansas City. I work full-time as the Accelerate Director at Spurgeon College and Midwestern Seminary.

Prior to planting Northside, I served as pastor of outreach and evangelism at Northland Baptist Church (our Sending Church). Now, I have the privilege of serving as one of Northside's pastors, serving in outreach and evangelism, preaching and worship.

Our neighborhood, Kansas City North, is experiencing a seismic generational shift with thousands of young, diverse families moving into our community. Right now, our schools have more students than they have had since the 1960s! Just 10 minutes from downtown, our neighborhood is a borderland between the downtown urbanites and the big box suburbanites. We love our corner of Kansas City and are excited to see the Lord do a great work!

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray Northside will faithfully work to plant in other communities. Pray Northside will see fruit in evangelistic ministries in their community. Pray the Lord strengthens Northside's pastors and other leaders. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry.
