About My Family

Originally I was born in Richmond, Va., and lived in Bowling Green, Va., for 22 years while attending school in Fredericksburg, Va., and Lynchburg, Va. In 2007, I moved to Miami for a ministry calling. While in ministry I met my wife, Kristin, and we were married on September 10, 2011 (or 9/10/11 @ 12pm).

I was ordained into ministry at Christ Fellowship Miami and have served in various ministry capacities in Miami over the past 14 years.

Kristin and I have one daughter, Selah Nevaeh, who is our "Breath of Heaven," as God finally saw fit to bless us with her after years of infertility while we were preparing for fostering licensure.

We love Miami and are passionate about making disciples in this region.

About My Ministry

I am an SBC-endorsed chaplain and ministries coordinator for Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation. Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation is the largest jail system in the state of Florida and the seventh largest jail system in the United States.

Pray

Pray the 4,000+ inmates will be given opportunities for new life and hope for their futures on a daily basis. Pray the 1,600+ employees will be appreciated and stay safe during their assignments. Pray more volunteers will join the Chaplain Services Unit to minister to the inmate population and personnel.

Participate

Commit to long-term prayer support. Explore the opportunities to extend the reach of your church by becoming a chaplain. Be involved in supporting chaplains and their families. Send notes of encouragement. To pray, participate or provide for the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Chaplain Services Unit, email Chaplain Parke at chaplain@miamidade.gov.
