About My Family

My name is Todd Wood, and I have the privilege of serving as your resort missionary in Myrtle Beach, S.C. I grew up in South Carolina and begin serving in Myrtle Beach in 2002. My wife, Michelle, and I have six girls and love spending time with them and ministering together.

About My Ministry

Myrtle Beach is the second largest tourist city in the United States with more than 17 million visitors every year. Ministry along the Grand Strand of Myrtle Beach began more than 60 years ago, having its original roots in campground ministry. Over these many years, this ministry has continued under different names: Grand Strand Ministries, Intracoastal Outreach and now IMPACT Ministries. Though the name has changed, the vision of this ministry has not. That vision is to reach the 17 million lost tourists and tourism workers. But the creative ministries with which we reach them have evolved. Over the years, each missionary has worked diligently developing many new ministry tools and teaching local churches how to engage the communities God has entrusted to them and how to share their faith creatively. I have seen God move in so many amazing ways that I could never have dreamed. We look forward to seeing how God continues to grow this ministry and make new disciples and ministry leaders. Pray

For churches to support us so we can continue to serve as missionaries in Myrtle Beach. For college students to come and serve with us as missionaries for 10 weeks during the summer. For receptive hearts among the people in communities where these missionaries and chaplains will serve. For our local churches to catch the vision that their mission field is where God has planted them and begin to reach their communities.

Participate

For churches to send missions teams and help us share Christ with the 17 million tourists visiting Myrtle Beach. Commit to long-term missions support with your missionary partner. Be involved by financially supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for specific missionaries by name.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision.
