About My Family

We are Tom and Kelley Allen and have been serving the United States Army since 2002. I am currently a Lieutenant Colonel, serving at Ft. Lee, Va. Kelley and I have been married for 35 years and have four grown children.

We appreciate your prayers and support as we seek to live and show Christ to the soldiers and families of the United States military.

About My Ministry

We love serving soldiers and their families in the United States Army. This has been a very demanding but also very rewarding ministry. We have endured deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Haiti, but God has shown His faithfulness to us throughout our lives and ministry. Pray we will continue the race and finish well for our Master.

SBC Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is a "frontline" ministry that is vital to the extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ in hard to reach places.

Pray for boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the people to whom I minister. Pray for people to come to saving faith in Jesus. Pray for more to join missionaries and chaplains.

Commit to long-term prayer support. Chaplains serve as an extension of the local church in places that other church members and staff sometimes cannot go. Explore the opportunities to extend the reach of your church by becoming a chaplain. Support and pray for chaplains and their families.
NAMB does not provide compensation for SBC endorsed chaplains. However, a general fund is available to receive donations in support of the ministry and pastoral care to SBC endorsed chaplains. To donate, please visit Support Chaplaincy (
