About My Family

My wife, Tracey (38), and I have been married for 16 years and is my greatest earthly blessing. She teaches high-school English, where our two oldest attend, and faithfully invests in her students. We have three children—Claire (16), Luke (14) and Ellie (12)—and being their dad is one of my greatest joys.

We love time together around the dinner table, playing games, traveling, working out and encouraging one another. Claire is a sophomore taking AP classes with a growing interest in the biomedical field. Luke excels academically, sings in the men’s choir and leads on his football teams while living out his faith. Ellie is in her final year of elementary school and is blossoming into the young woman God is shaping her to be. As a family, we are joyfully involved in the life of Northside Baptist Church.

About My Church Plant

I am the senior pastor at Northside Baptist Church in Bakersfield, Calif. This is a replant with NAMB, and the Lord has blessed us immensely! My ministry is centered on faithfully preaching and teaching the Word of God, shepherding people toward a deeper love for Christ and equipping the church to live out the gospel in everyday life. I seek to lead with clarity, conviction and compassion, pointing believers to the sufficiency of Scripture, the centrality of the local church and the transforming power of God’s grace.

My heart is to see individuals and families grow in spiritual maturity, unity and mission, so together we may glorify God and make Christ known in our community and beyond and to see the church grow in both theological depth and evangelistic width.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
