About My Family
Annie and I met on the mission field in Brazil as volunteer missionaries and have since dedicated our lives and marriage to serving our Lord. Our children are grown and have families of their own and, while we enjoy spending with them and the grandchildren, we find our greatest joy in demonstrating God's love to others and telling them of His amazing grace available through His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
About My Ministry
Annie and I serve as evangelism and outreach coordinators at Lakewood Baptist Church in Beech Grove Tenn. Our goal is to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the Lakewood Park community and surrounding area in Beech Grove and to serve as a faithful witness for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To accomplish our goal, we operate the "Mission House" as an outreach ministry of Lakewood Baptist Church.
The Mission House is located in Lakewood Park and serves as our base of operations in the community while providing a ministry connection outside the walls of the church building. This location also allows us to operate a food pantry to distribute perishable food items once a week on each Wednesday and non-perishable items on the first Wednesday of each month. We operate a clothes closet that provides clothes and personal items to individuals and families in need. These services are provided free of charge to all who come.
We host a men's fellowship or "Men's Coffee" once a week where men of the church and men from the community can come together to make friends and build relationships that lead to a gospel witness. We also hold a Tuesday night Bible study as an entry point for those who are not yet comfortable or willing to come to the church building. During the summer we hold a children's activity, "Fun In The Son," where we (or volunteer missions teams) provide a Bible study, craft activity and lunch for those who attend.
