About My Family
I am Vonn Golfo, serving as a church planter in Windsor, Ontario, with my wife Jo-Ann, son Vigo, and daughter Vien. Our family arrived in Canada from the Philippines in December 2023 with a vision to start a church plant in the Windsor-Essex area. Jo-Ann and I are both graduates of the Asian Theological Seminary (Philippines) with degrees in Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling and Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies, respectively.
We have always desired to serve full time in God’s kingdom to an expanded border. With God’s clear calling and with a leap of faith, we left our respective jobs at the University of the Philippines to elevate our local ministry engagements to that of missions in another country.

About My Church Plant
Hillcrest Church Windsor, named after our sending church in the Philippines (Hillcrest Family Life Baptist Church), is located in the city proper of Windsor. Initially envisioned to reach out to Filipino international students, it is evolving into one, which includes not only Filipinos and students, but also newcomers in the city and the extended Windsor-Essex county.
NAMB Church Planting
Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
