About My Family
I’m a Christian man and blessed to be married to a beautiful wife, who supports me and my ministry. We have a son and a daughter.
Our son is retired from the United States Air Force, married, and living in North Carolina. He is a machinist. Our daughter is a public servant, serving as an Emergency Medical Technician.
I’m a 26-year firefighter and paramedic, who is blessed to be retired. I started the Behavioral Wellness Committee and Chaplaincy Corps at the Largo Fire Rescue. We are working together to provide spiritual support to first responders.

About My Ministry
I am an SBC-endorsed fire chaplain. The Chaplaincy Corps at Largo Fire Rescue is going and growing. The ministry of presence is now supported by two other chaplains who visit our six fire stations every Wednesday.
We have partnered with emergency chaplains (https://www.echap.org/) to start the Pinellas County Chapter. They provide training, certification, and support. Our ministry has been blessed by the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) and received the Christmas in August blessing. Our ministry was spotlighted by 12-year-old Gunner from Mississippi at the first annual missions fair. We also provide disaster response chaplaincy to first responders through the Florida Firefighter Safety and Health Collaborative.

SBC Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard to reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by the using agency and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.
