As a 501(c)(3) organization, the North American Mission Board respects the intent of givers while retaining discretion over the use of all gifts. Any gifts received above the specific need will be applied where the need is greatest.
About My Family
I was born and raised in a countryside village in northeast China. I was saved in 2005 as a college student. I heard the gospel from IMB missionaries. Of course, back then, I only knew them as my “American friends.” They discipled me and encouraged me to share the good news to my friends and classmates. God used their missionary calling and radical obedient lifestyle to challenge me to live for His kingdom and glory.
Lydia and I married in 2007. I received my M.Div. degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012. We have four boys ages 15, 14, 11 and 7. I served in China as a pastor for 10 years before moving to Texas in 2023. I am currently planting a church in north Dallas, reaching out to the international communities in our area.

About My Church Plant
By God’s grace, my wife and I and three other couples started Joy Church about one year ago. We invited friends and neighbors to our outreach events and Bible studies (we used the Alpha course) and see that God is bringing many people to our community. We celebrated five baptisms in this past year, and we are about to finish our first Youth Alpha, which started this April. On Sundays, we are gathering for worship in homes. I hope to see more house churches planted in the future.
NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
